“She’s like a daughter to me”: Randi Mahomes opens up on watching Brittany grow alongside Patrick long before Super Bowl rings

Speaking on a podcast, Randi reflected on the early stages of Patrick and Brittany’s relationship and how it unfolded quietly before the spotlight arrived. “He didn’t really share like his personal stuff at first,” Randi admitted. “But then, you know, kind of hearing it now and then how they started dating, I’m like, I can totally see that. And then once they did, it was all in.”


What stands out is the timeline. Brittany wasn’t introduced after fame; she was present during formative years. “I think he was a sophomore or junior, it was all in. And I say she’s been around since my daughter was two, so 14 years she’s been around,” Randi shared. That consistency built a relationship rooted in familiarity and trust rather than celebrity status.

Randi summed it up simply: “She’s like a daughter to me. I’ve kind of helped, maybe not raise her, but she grew up with Patrick and was always around. We’ve always been very close.”

That closeness persisted even when distance entered the picture. Randi recalled how Brittany stayed connected while Patrick was away at college, noting, “She’ll call me, we’ll keep in touch… And we would always hang out whenever he came home.”

Today, Brittany balances visible support from the stands with her own ventures, while Patrick leans on family during the grind of the NFL season. For Randi, watching their journey come full circle isn’t just heartwarming, it’s a reminder that the strongest relationships in football often begin far from the field.
