A few days ago, NFL insider The Athletic’s Jayna Bardahl reported that, "Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes tore the ACL in his left knee against the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 14.”

The report added, “The injury was caused by hyperextension. Mahomes had to exit the game during the Chiefs’ final drive, and his team’s eventual loss knocked them out of playoff contention for the first time since 2014…”
