Josh Jacobs scored his first career receiving touchdown

Josh Jacobs scored his first career receiving touchdown in his sixth NFL season, breaking the longest streak in NFL history. Despite 211 receptions, Jacobs' streak of 211 touchdowns remains, but his active title was surpassed by quarterback Jordan Love's eight-yard pass in the Green Bay Packers' game against the Houston Texans. Jacobs celebrated his touchdown by performing a Lambeau Leap, and his Packers teammates congratulated him. No other active NFL player has held the same streak. Although his record may remain on top for a while, it won't continue to add to the drought.
Jacobs played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. Jacobs rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons, while being named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2019 and to his first Pro Bowl in 2020.
In 2022, he led the league in rushing yards with 1,653 and became the first Raider since 1985 to surpass 2,000 scrimmage yards. After five years with the Raiders, Jacobs signed with the Packers in 2024.Jacobs made his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos, rushing 23 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns. He then rushed 12 times for 99 yards in a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. In a win against the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, he rushed 26 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns. In Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers, he rushed 21 times for 124 yards. Two weeks later, against the Detroit Lions, he rushed 28 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-24 victory. Also Read: "I know the players are OK with it": Raiders owner Mark Davis gives honest take on Davante Adams trade, reflects on locker room atmosphere
