NBA update: League's Asia takeover continues as Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets set for exciting China Games 2026 clash in Macao
The Dallas Mavericks and the Houston Rockets will play preseason games at The Venetian Arena in Macao on Friday, October 9, and Sunday, October 11, as part of the NBA China Games 2026, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Sands China Ltd. (Sands) announced today.
The NBA and Sands are organizing a number of basketball-related events in addition to the games. Youth basketball clinics, NBA House and NBA Fan Day, and a Community Impact Week organized by NBA Cares and Sands Cares with social impact programming centered on sustainability, wellbeing, and health are among them.
Through social media, digital media, and television, fans in over 200 nations and territories will be able to watch the NBA China Games in 2026. A number of marketing partners, including Amazon Web Services, Gatorade, Nike, and Tissot, will support the games and related activities.
Apart from the two games, the NBA and Sands will organize interactive fan activities such as NBA House and NBA Fan Day, youth basketball clinics, and a Community Impact Week with social impact programming centered around sustainability, wellness, and health, which will be organized by Sands Cares and NBA Cares.
At a later time, details on the fan, youth, and community activities as well as ticket sales will be released.
