NBA legend LeBron James is one of the most famous basketball players, but he also enjoys days off. During one such off day, the king was spotted taking it easy on the court. He was not training or preparing for a game. This time, he was just having fun with his lifelong friend, Randy “Ernie” Mims. Two other players were seen accompanying him.

LeBron James and Randy “Ernie” Mims were recently spotted sharing a rare chill session, away from the bright lights and big crowds. The NBA legend later uploaded a small clip of the practice on his Instagram and wrote:“Ended the 45 min solo session with 2 of these conditioning drills back to back. Getting the lunges and quick twitch muscles back firing @ernieramos….”In the recent session, both looked relaxed. There were no fans or reporters. LeBron James and Ernie have known each other since they were kids. They grew up together in Akron, Ohio. Over the years, they have stayed very close. Today, Randy Mims works as the Basketball player’s chief of staff.
He helps manage LeBron James’ busy schedule and is part of his trusted team. He’s been with LeBron James since high school. Ernie played a vivid role- from personal assistant and manager to player liaison.
Additionally, Randy Mims has guided LeBron James in big moments. After the NBA legend’s first title loss with the Heat in 2011, he trained hard for Cleveland’s return. Ernie was right by his side during that tough summer and helped him in the gym.Moreover, according to ESPN, when the Basketball giant moved to the Miami Heat in 2010, he turned to Mims in a moment of doubt at 3 a.m. He needed support, and Mims offered advice and comfort. Addressing the same, he told the outlet:“I need to talk to you… I’m not sure I’m doing this right,.. I’m not sure I made the right decision to come here.”During that time, James was facing more than just a rough beginning to the season with the Heat.
