Raja Chaudhary reacts to daughter Palak Tiwari’s dating rumours with Ibrahim Ali Khan: ‘Inn chakkaro se door rahe aur apne career par focus kar'

Palak Tiwari, one of Bollywood’s rising stars, often finds herself in the spotlight, sometimes for her work, and other times for her rumoured relationship with Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. While the two have never publicly confirmed or denied the dating speculation, Palak’s estranged father, actor Raja Chaudhary, has now weighed in on the buzz, and he doesn’t seem pleased.

In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Raja opened up about his personal life, his long-divorced relationship with actress Shweta Tiwari, and his distant equation with their daughter Palak. When asked if he’s in touch with her, Raja replied, “Haan baat hoti hai, through social media.”He also mentioned that although he writes letters to Palak, she remains busy with her work and, according to him, doesn’t meet even her mother often.

Do you think young celebrities should focus more on their careers than personal relationships early on?
Addressing the ongoing rumours about Palak’s romantic life, Raja expressed his unwillingness about her being in a relationship at this stage of her career.“Agar mujhe mauka mile samjhane ka toh main to yahi kahunga ki bhai inn chakkaro se door rahe aur apne career par focus kar, wohi ek cheez hai, ultimately tere kaam aane wali hai tere.” (If I get a chance, I would say—stay away from these things and focus on your career, that’s what will ultimately help you.)

“Relationships before 30–35 are a blunder”Going further, he added a strong opinion about young relationships in general: “30-35 saal se pahle relationship karna hi nahi chahiye, mujhe lagta hai sab immature rahte hai. Maturity hai hi nahi logon me. Bss bachpane me shadi kar lete hai log and that turns out to be a big blunder. Phir rote raho, koshte raho ek dusre ko.” (One should not get into a relationship before the age of 30–35. Everyone’s immature. People get married in their childhood, and it becomes a big blunder. Then they keep crying, blaming each other.)Palak, who lives with her mother Shweta Tiwari, has had little public interaction with her father over the years. Raja and Shweta tied the knot in 1998 and separated in 2007. Their divorce was officially granted in 2012.
