Manavjit, Chenai reach National Men's Trap Shooting final

Former World Champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu and young Kynan Chenai, both of whom had represented India at the Rio Olympics, entered the finals of Men's Trap event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) for Shotgun events, here today.

JAIPUR: Former World Champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu and young Kynan Chenai, both of whom had represented India at the Rio Olympics, entered the finals of Men's Trap event at the 60th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) for Shotgun events, here today.
Punjab's Manavjit and Kynan, representing Telengana, shot identical scores of 93 to reach the six-man final, in fifth and fourth positions respectively.

Zoravar Singh Sandhu of Air India led the final qualifiers with a top score of 96. The finals are slated tomorrow.
In the Junior Men's Trap event, Lakshay Sheoran of Haryana topped the qualifying charts with a score of 89. He was followed into the finals by Manavaditya Singh Rathore, who also shot an identical score but was placed second as his score in the last series of shots was less than that of Lakshay's.
