JAIPUR: With the entire world coming to a halt in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, Indian kabaddi stars have come forward to take the initiative of bringing together and educating people in the collective fight against the deadly virus.
Former India kabaddi captain Ajay Thakur is literally leading from the front in this battle. Thakur, who is a DSP with the Himachal Pradesh police, is on the frontline patrolling localities in Bilaspur and urging citizens to stay at home.

The Asian Games gold medallist and Padma Shri awardee shared posts of himself on duty on his Instagram account and fans were quick to appreciate his gesture.
In one post, Thakur asked people to stay at home to save lives while in another post, the Arjuna awardee wrote, "There is still time, please stay at home. Also, advise others to do the same and cooperate with the government. Only then, we'll be able to do this."

U Mumba and Iran team captain Fazel Atrachali also posted a message on Instagram asking people to stay indoors to counter the highly contagious malaise. U Mumba and Indian kabaddi star Sandeep Narwal also addressed the youngsters of the country. In an Instagram video, Narwal appealed to the youth of the country to resist the urge of stepping outside their houses to stop the spread of coronavirus and asked them to practice yoga and other exercises at home itself.


Telugu Titans player Siddharth Desai spoke about the challenges faced by medical professionals asking people to do their bit in flattening the curve of Covid-19 and reducing the pressure felt by medical professionals.

Though the sporting action has come to a halt across the planet, these sports stars, who enjoy massive following in small towns and villages, are ensuring they stand tall even in the matters off the mat.
