CHANDIGARH: Tokyo-bound
Neeraj Chopra's much-awaited training-cum-competition trip to France has hit another roadblock as the javelin thrower is yet to receive an "authorization letter" issued by the French government to enter the country.
Chopra was to fly out to France earlier this week, after his visa was granted last Friday. However, with India currently being placed as one of the high-risk countries due to the devastating second wave of the Covid-19, Chopra's wait to board the flight got longer.
Neeraj is expected to be accompanied by biomechanics expert Dr Klaus Bartonietz and physiotherapist Isaan Marwaha.
"Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra's travel plans to France has been delayed by few days," admitted SAI.
