The San Francisco Giants’ outfielder Mike Yastrzemski was called a “proud father” or his daughter could be called a “proud daughter.” The idea is, being able to walk-off home run, only to secure victory for the San Francisco Giants by an 8-6 win against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday at Oracle Park, is something not many can do. Yastrzmski managed to make it big, at the right time, and later, helped the team finish the game with a win in extra innings.

Mike Yastrzemski’s proud dad moment

What was the most important and impressive part of the game between the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds was, in fact, Mike Yastrzemski’s daughter’s promise. Yastrzemski managed to fulfil yet another promise to his daughter, Quinley. He said:“She kept reminding me that I hadn’t gotten her the splash hit yet, so, she’s on a heater.”
Now, his daughter, Quinley should be thanked for his terrific and brilliant performance.Last week, Yastrzemski had also thanked Quinley for his three-run opposite-field shot in the Giants’ 5-4 walk-off win against the Seattle Mariners. He had said:"Today I got to give a shout-out to my daughter Quinley, honestly, because she asked for a home run and so I promised her I'd get her a home run, so Quinny, I love you and miss you.”

Team manager Bob Melvin places his trust in Mike Yastrzemski

Even for the San Francisco Giants’ team, and the team manager Bob Melvin, Mike Yastrzemski has indeed been one of the best hitters. Yastrzemski shared a conversation he had with him to MLB.com and said:“He told me last night, ‘You’ve got your boy,’ and I was like, ‘Great.
I’ll go out there and do my best.”
