Their son Max received his Guillain-Barre syndrome diagnosis in 2024 which resulted in his complete body paralysis. He required treatment at the pediatric intensive care unit. She announced his "80 percent recovery" status which brought hope to those who had been following their story.

Now, with another baby on the way, the family is stepping into a new chapter. While it is not officially confirmed, some believe Freeman’s recent withdrawal from the World Baseball Classic could be linked to family priorities. With a long MLB season ahead in 2026, it would make sense for him to focus on home as well.
