Veteran fighter Sam-A Shares insights on ONE Championship between Prajanchai vs Aliff for the world title

Veteran Thai fighter Sam-a-gaiyanghadao is eagerly waiting for the proposed title clash between ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai and challenger Aliff Sor Dechapan to happen. Given how the protagonists tackle their matches, he expects the competition to go all the way.


The former two-division, two-spot world champion expressed his opinions on the Prajanchai-Aliff title match involving ONE Championship, indicating that he anticipates a difficult bout with numerous in-fight adjustments.

As Sam goes saying -

“I think it will go the distance with their styles. I favor Prajanchai because of his angles and craftiness. If he can get close and clinch, I think he wins 60-40 with his in-fight adjustments, craftiness, and experience because Prajanchai has fought taller opponents and opponents of the same height.”

Sam-A One of the most well-known and veteran fighters in Thailand, expressed his thoughts on what could turn out to be one of the most interesting title fights in 2026.

After winning from Ramadan Ondash of Lebanon, by decision at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on December 5 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Aliff was informed about the title shot. And that counted as his ninth win in 11 ONE Championship fights and his fifth consecutive, building up his standing as a bona-fide title contender.

In the meantime, the second defense of the world title that Prajanchai reclaimed in December 2023 will take place in the proposed title match, which has not yet been assigned.

In Sam-A's recent interview with the media, Sam talked about the whatnot of the fight between Prajanchai and Aliff. Saying that he expects the fight to go the distance, without an early knockout or stoppage.

After his impressive decision victory over Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi at ONE Friday Fights 137: Tawanchai vs. Liu on December 19 at Lumpinee Stadium, the 42-year-old fighter intensified his pursuit of the strawweight Muay Thai title. It was his second consecutive victory that created anticipation about a possible world championship.

Sam-A won the title of the strawweight Muay Thai King in February 2020. In October 2020, he successfully defended himself from the Australian challenger, Josh Tonna. before losing to Prajanchai in July 2021.
