Firearms YouTuber and Second Amendment activist Brandon Herrera has spoken out after finding his name mentioned multiple times in the writings of Robin Westman, the gunman responsible for the tragic school shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In a candid and visibly shaken response, Herrera made it clear that he had nothing to do with Westman, calling the association “sickening” and stressing that he has no recollection of ever meeting the individual.

Herrera says hearing his name in manifesto made him ‘sick to his stomach’

In a video uploaded to his channel titled I Was Named in the Shooter’s Manifesto, the 29-year-old explained how he learned that Westman had referred to him before carrying out the attack.
According to Herrera, Westman not only mentioned him by full name but even urged people to “vote for Brandon for president.”“When I heard it with my own two ears, I got f**king sick to my stomach,” Herrera admitted, adding that he wanted to leave “zero f**king wiggle room” about his position. He strongly condemned the shooter’s actions, calling the manifesto “disgusting” and something he did not want his name tied to in any way.

YouTuber rejects claim he met the shooter at SHOT Show in Las Vegas

Part of Westman’s manifesto suggested that he had met Herrera at SHOT Show, the annual Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas, where the two allegedly spoke and “agreed on a lot of things.”
Herrera firmly denied this.“I can legitimately put my hand on a Bible and say I have zero recollection of ever meeting this creep,” he explained.

“I asked my friends who were also there, and they had no recollection. And, believe me, this is the kind of person that would stand out at SHOT Show.”Herrera made it clear that he believes Westman fabricated the story of their supposed meeting, using his name to lend credibility to his own warped narrative.“I have no memory of this person,” he said.

Community reacts as Herrera distances himself from shooter’s narrative

The statement quickly spread across social media, with many of Herrera’s fans expressing sympathy for his situation. Some pointed out how damaging it can be for public figures to have their names dragged into criminal incidents without any connection. Others noted that Herrera’s immediate condemnation was important in drawing a clear line between his personal beliefs and Westman’s actions. For now, Herrera has kept his comments focused on distancing himself from the shooter’s claims and reassuring his audience. While the Minnesota case continues to unfold, the YouTuber is standing firm: he wants no association with the attacker and no misinterpretation of his values.
