Notwithstanding his error-riddled five-over 75 in the secondround, Jeev Milkha Singh managed to get into the weekend rounds of the MallorcaClassic tournament at the Pula Golf Resort here.
Jeev, with six-overfor two days, is now at tied 43rd position in the tournament, which is the lastfull field event on the European Tour.
He had bogeys on second,ninth, 12th, 13th and 14th and 17th. His only birdie was on the 15th. Hestruggled to get on the fairways and had less than 50 per greens inregulation.
The joint leaders were Niclas Fasth (71) of Sweden andIreland's Gary Murphy (71), who were three-under on 137.
PadraigHarrington, looking to win in Mallorca to try and overhaul Paul Casey in therace for the Order of Merit title, failed as he missed the cut. He may now needto win the season-ending Volvo Masters in Valderrama next week to beat BritonCasey to the Order of Merit title. Harrington had rounds of 77 and74.
Fasth and Murphy were one stroke ahead of Briton Marc Warren, whois trying to become the rookie of the year. He had the joint best card of theday at 68.
Fasth is looking for a Spanish double, having won theSpanish Open in April, while Murphy, lying 118th on the Merit List, the cut-offpoint for a tour card next year, is now entertaining hopes of a maiden titlewin.
