Max Verstappen spots potential flaw as Red Bull and Racing Bulls unveil glossy liveries
Red Bull and Racing Bulls have finally unveiled their stylish blue-themed liveries in Detroit, drawing praise from fans for the striking colour palette and overall design. Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar got their first close look at the new cars, with both drivers offering largely positive initial reactions. Fans across social media echoed the sentiment, as the teams received approval not only from the drivers but from the wider F1 audience as well.
At one point, however, Verstappen appeared to notice a potential issue and told Hadjar, “They made a mistake with your flag.” Hadjar races under the French flag, and Verstappen seemed to be referring to the colours displayed on the car, although it has not been officially confirmed whether it was indeed the French flag.
Reacting to the video, one fan wrote on X, “Max already identified an issue. Dude's eye for details.” Another commented, “Can’t even get enough of this.” A third fan added, “It feels familiar… and brand new at the same time.” One comment read, “Glad they went back with the brighter blue, looks awesome! Latest version was too dull and dark. Now we're going glossy blue!” Another fan praised the design, saying, “You have DONE it. The new livery looks FANTASTIC. This is the old Red Bull look we all loved. Very, very cool!”
Lindblad is set to replace Hadjar at Racing Bulls for the 2026 season and will partner Liam Lawson in the team’s driver lineup.
The 2026 F1 season is set to begin with three pre-season tests, a private test in Barcelona followed by two official tests in Bahrain. The season will then officially get underway with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 8.
