“I didn’t have a magical night”: Kelly Piquet on how Max Verstappen proposed a day after their first date

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, has shared a rare throwback photo from their first date and revealed that the Red Bull star proposed to her just a day after they met for the first time. She shared the story while posting a series of pictures from 2016, which included moments from her time working with Formula E, her life in her home country of Brazil, and memories with her best friends. The couple have been together for 10 years and are now parents to their eight-month-old baby girl, Lily.Kelly Piquet took to Instagram to share photos from 2016, captioning them: “Alright, I caved. 2016 was a whirlwind. Could hardly fit 10% in. Saved you the best for last xxxxxxxxxx.”She truly did save the best for last by sharing a decade-old photo of herself with Verstappen from the early days of their relationship. Alongside it, she wrote: “Met this guy… the very next day he told me I was the love of his life. Little did I know 10 years later we’d be celebrating 5 years together and have a perfect baby girl. PS: I absolutely did not have a magical night that night, but there was serendipity in the air.”Reacting to the post, one fan commented, “Omg, the last picture, you guys were babies.” Another wrote, “We need story time for the last caption.” A fan also added, “Normally it’s a red flag when someone says that on the first night.
