Having won the World Championship at least seven times, for Lewis Hamilton, the trajectory hasn’t been too linear, ever since he left Mercedes for Ferrari. While he hasn’t been able finish races as per his capabilities, and the disqualification in the Chinese Grand Prix, was an added headache. However, ahead of the much awaited Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Hamilton believes he has a lot more work to do, and has to focus more on being able to adapt.

Lewis Hamilton says he’s focusing on adapting to a new driving style

So far, amidst turbulent times for Ferrari, their new recruit, Lewis Hamilton, has been facing some trouble. His best race with Ferrari was in Bahrain Grand Prix, where he finished at P5. But widening the scope of improvement, Hamilton says, ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, that his focus for this particular weekend is his driving style. He said:“My focus this weekend is driving style, really getting on top of the circuit and getting into a rhythm. This is a circuit, a bit like Monaco or Baku, where you have to get into a rhythm as early as possible and then just make incremental gains from there and not be overdriving.”
For Hamilton, there can be several other changes that he needs to adapt to. A new team, a new car, and a whole new environment and expectations, while he has acknowledged these approaches, he believes, it’s not impossible. He said:“I’ve got a lot of work to do to adapt the way I approach corners but it’s not impossible, it might just take a little bit of time but hopefully not too long.”

“I won’t want to go too much into detail but it’s just driving style. Every driver has a driving style and my driving style has worked for many years. Naturally you adapt it a little bit over time but this one needs more of a drastic shift and so I found a couple of things that worked in the last race.”

Charles Leclerc says team can benefit from Jeddah track, Here’s how

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton’s teammate, and Ferrari’s star face, Charles Leclerc has a more optimistic approach, looking forward to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He explained:
For the layout of the track, I think we should be doing a bit of a step forward — a bit more of a step forward than we did in Bahrain, which is positive. We obviously still have to confirm that, but I think the numbers that we were expecting from this upgrade in Bahrain were the ones that we saw, and considering that is the case, I think we’ll benefit a little bit more from a track like this.”Leclerc said:“Overall grip has been a big improvement. And in specific corners — corner phases, especially, which we should gain from a bit more on a track like this.”Ferrari fans should wait to understand how the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix plays out for them. Also Read: “He Clearly Needs To Do Something”: Ted Kravitz Warns Lewis Hamilton To Fix Ferrari Qualifying Woes As Team Principal Fred Vasseur Loses Patience
