Miami E-Prix: Jake Dennis showcases Andretti car on Ocean Drive ahead of home race

Andretti is fired up for its home race and made sure to give fans a special preview ahead of Saturday’s Miami E-Prix. Before Round 3, Jake Dennis drove the Andretti Formula E car along Ocean Drive on Thursday, giving fans a close-up look at the GEN3 Evo car. He also met fans and posed for photos after the run. While the on-track action begins at the Miami International Autodrome on Saturday, Thursday’s show run proved to be well worth it.

Andretti shared a video of the GEN3 Evo car on Ocean Drive on Instagram, writing: “We were hard to miss along Ocean Drive. @jakedennis19 put @andrettife’s new TWG AI livery on full display during a show run.”

Reacting to the video, one fan commented, “Such a vibe.” Another wrote, “Just Miami things,” while a third added, “This is beyond cool.”

Formula E rookie Felipe Drugovich also took part in the Ocean Drive action, riding in the Porsche Safety Car. Drugovich drives for Andretti this season, while Nerea Martí is competing for Cupra Kiro in her rookie year.

Andretti shared another video from the show run, captioning it: “Felipe cam. @felipedrugovich and @nereamarti32 jumped in the @porsche.motorsport Porsche Taycan Turbo GT Safety Car as part of our Ocean Drive show run last night.”

Andretti gears up for home race in Miami

Andretti has been actively promoting the team around the city ahead of the Miami E-Prix. Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich were also gifted Miami Dolphins jerseys by the NFL team. Sharing a photo of the drivers, Andretti wrote: “Sorry, Colts - this weekend we’re @miamidolphins fans. Thanks for the jerseys, team!”

The drivers will compete in the Miami E-Prix final on Saturday, with the race scheduled to begin at 2:05 p.m. local time.

Dennis won the Round 1 race in Sao Paulo and finished fifth at the Mexico City E-Prix in Round 2. Drugovich made his full-time Formula E debut in Sao Paulo, finishing 12th, and placed 15th in Mexico City.
