JGIS-A, DPS Bopal in semifinal

JGIS-A have made it to the semifinal of the JG Cup All-Gujarat Inter School Invitational U-14 & U-18 Football Tournament at JG International School ground. In the first quarterfinal on Thursday, JGIS-A defeated Shri Narayan Guru Vidhalaya 3-0 in an one-sided encounter. The winners were leading 2-0 during the breather. Vishva Patel opened the scoring in the 6th minute, Yash Baid made it 2-0 by the 12th minute and Nilay Patel completed the tally by scoring in the 38th minute.
In the second quarterfinal, Ahmedabad Disrict Football Association defeated Banaskantha District Football Association 2-0 in a closely fought encounter. Shrey Patel scored the first goal in the 13th minute and Akash Mishra made it 2-0 in the 60th minute.
In the lone girls match of the day DPS Bopal got past Shastri School 2-1 in a closely fought encounter. Bhumika and Madhuri scored for DPS while Priti Prajapati reduced the margin for Shastri School.
