The ball zips past and takes the glove on the way to Shai Hope who collects it with ease. England lose two in quick succession and are in early trouble!

We are done with the national anthems. The sun is shining brightly as Shai Hope and his men break from the huddle to take their positions on the field. There’s some rain forecasted for later, but let’s hope it stays away. It will be Phil Salt and Will Jacks to open the innings for England. Matthew Forde has the new ball in hand and he is raring to go. A slip in place. Here we go!

We are moments away from the first ball in this series decider, but before that, the match officials, the two sets of players, and their mascots will line up for the national anthems. First up will be the national anthem of Barbados, followed by England’s and then the anthem of the West Indies.

Jacob Bethell is also down for a chat. He says he is very proud of the way he played in the previous game and hopes to continue. Adds that he is very excited to be a part of this series decider. Talks about Liam Livingstone and says there wasn't too much talk and Liam just came out and put the pressure back on the bowlers straightaway. Concludes that Sam Curran played his role in the previous game and hopes for both of them to help Livingstone this time around. 

PITCH REPORT - Nikhil Uttamchandani is near the deck. He starts by saying that there is a 3-metre difference between the square boundaries with 64 metres to one side and 61 to the other. Adds that it is 73 metres down the ground. Feels that wind will be a factor that batters will have to take into account while clearing the boundaries. Informs that out of the 11 ODIs played here since 2020, 9 of them have been won by the chasing side. Carlos Brathwaite joins him and says that batters should look to hit straight. From a bowler's perspective, he feels that they should force the batters to hit towards the longer of the two square boundaries and use the wind to their advantage.

Shimron Hetmyer is down for a quick chat. He says he has stopped overthinking about his game and has started to enjoy it, which is showing in the way he is playing. He talks about one outing here five years ago, where he scored a century against England. Adds he was really young in the squad, which now brings a lot of fond memories, and it's very special to play against England at Barbados.

The captain of England, Liam Livingstone says that they would have bowled first as well. Adds that this is a ground that heavily favours the chasing side and therefore, they would have loved to chase. Mentions that they will see what the pitch has to offer and hopes that the game goes well for them. Feels that they will need to assess the conditions quickly and take it from there. Informs that they have made two changes - Reece Topley and Jamie Overton are in for Saqib Mahmood and John Turner. Shares that they want to play an attacking brand of cricket and put the opposition under pressure.

Shai Hope, the skipper of West Indies says they aren't quite sure of how the pitch will play like and want to chase. Adds that they will have to assess the conditions quickly and play really well. States that they have two changes with Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales missing out and Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd coming in.
