NEW DELHI: India on Friday decided to rest chinaman bowler
Kuldeep Yadav and fast bowlers
Jasprit Bumrah and
Umesh Yadav for the third T20 International against the West Indies to be played on Sunday in Chennai.
India, leading 2-0, have already won the three-match series, which leaves the third T20I inconsequential in nature.
Medium-pacer
Siddarth Kaul, meanwhile, was recalled into the squad led by Rohit Sharma.
Kaul has played two T20Is so far, besides three ODIs.
The BCCI press release said that the decision to rest the bowling trio was taken in order to keep them fresh for the tour of Australia.
"The Indian team management has decided to rest Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav from the upcoming third T20I against the Windies in Chennai. The decision has been made to allow the trio to be in the best physical condition ahead of India’s tour to Australia," the media release read.
