We are back. A big session awaits for both teams. James Anderson to restart with the ball.
...DAY 4, SESSION 2...
Pakistan still need 64 runs but the only known batter out there is Salman. He will be under tremendous pressure. England on the other hand need three wickets to seal the series. We feel the next session will give us the results. Join us back at 1310 IST (0740 GMT) for the second session.
A huge, huge session for England. It was Pakistan who bossed for most of the time but the last three overs which included the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz and Saud Shakeel has turned the tide in England's favor again. Two balls down the leg side which could be avoided but the Pakistani batters went after it. Before that, Pakistan were motoring very nicely, both Nawaz and Shakeel were calm and rotating the strike. However, England believed that the wicket is just around the corner. Mark Wood was introduced and the pacer took both big wickets.
Mark Wood to Abrar Ahmed, NOT OUT! That is going down leg! England lose a review! Short and on the body. Abrar Ahmed looks to duck but this one does not bounce at all. It hits his body. An appeal but turned down. It is reviewed just in time but replays show that it is going down leg. THAT WILL BE LUNCH ON DAY 4!
Mark Wood to Abrar Ahmed, Outside off, left alone.
Mark Wood to Abrar Ahmed, Bangs it short and on middle, it is ducked under.
Mark Wood to Saud Shakeel, OUT! TAKEN! The third umpire feels that is a clean catch and Saud has to walk back! Is that the final nail in the coffin? England are into the bowlers now. It is Wood yet again who does it with the short ball tactic. This is short and down the leg side. Saud looks to pull, this goes off the glove and to Pope who dives and takes it. An appeal. The umpire has a chat with his partner and then takes it upsatirs with the soft signal being out. Replays are difficult to say whether the gloves are under the ball or not and in the end, it is ruled in the favor of the visitors. A superb knock from Saud. He deserved a ton but now walks back.
Mark Wood to Saud Shakeel, Outside off, left alone.
Mark Wood to Saud Shakeel, Outside off, left alone.
James Anderson to Agha Salman, Lovely stuff! That goes just over the off pole. This one comes back in from outside off, Salman first looks to leave but then tries to play it as it comes back in. He is beaten and it goes over the off pole.
James Anderson to Agha Salman, That is a beauty! Anderson was getting the ball to come back in for some time now but this time he gets it to leave the batter after landing. Salman has a poke at it and gets beaten.
James Anderson to Agha Salman, On off, this is blocked.
James Anderson to Agha Salman, This one comes back in nicely, the line is a little too straight. Agha looks to flick but misses to get hit on the pads.
James Anderson to Saud Shakeel, Around off, Shakeel opens the face of the bat and guides it towards point for one.
James Anderson to Saud Shakeel, Good length and on middle, defended.
Mark Wood to Agha Salman, Another bumper, Agha ducks under it.
Mark Wood to Agha Salman, Banged in short. Salman lets it go to the keeper.
Mark Wood to Mohammad Nawaz, OUT! Gloved and taken! Wood breaks the stand that was taking the game away from England. Still 65 more needed. This is short and on the body, Nawaz looks to pull, he gets in an awkward position to do so as he seems a little cramped up. It goes off the glove and it is taken by Pope. Stokes is elated. They know they are just a wicket away from entering the bowling all-rounders. A good innings from Nawaz. He played with intent but his side would have loved for him to play longer.
Mark Wood to Mohammad Nawaz, Goes short again, this does not bounce at all. Nawaz ducks, it goes over his body and goes on the bounce to the keeper.
