Women's cricket team suffers male intrusion

, certain DDCA members stopped the women's game. Instead, the DDCA's opening match was played. Reason? The DDCA league which produced the big ticket players can't be ignored at any cost. The state women team later attended the net session and felt humiliated, the DDCA insiders revealed.

It is understood that the opposing group is in the process of organizing more league matches, which has upset the DDCA management. It has not gone down well with DDCA vice-president and coordinator, Chetan Chauhan, who even threatened the group with dire consequences, amounting to contempt of court before the league game.

even told DDCA that organising the DDCA's domestic season matches was of more importance than the league game. Mudgal even reminded DDCA once again on Wednesday. Still the opposing group openly defied Mudgal's instructions. "I have made it clear by my earlier mail that no league/tournament shall be started by DDCA without my prior written permission. The domestic season of DDCA should be the priority at this moment. In light of the above I reiterate that deferring the DDCA league at this moment is advisable till the fund position of DDCA improves. The DDCA shall ensure that my directions are adhered to," Mudgal wrote in an email to DDCA.
