Wilkins Victor shines in Young Stars' victory

CHENNAI: Offie Wilkins Victor (5-20) led the way for Young Stars as they scored an innings and 131-run win over UFCC T Nagar on Day 3 of their TNCA Group A first division clash here on Wednesday. After being bowled out for 183 in their opening innings, UFCC fared worse in the second - folding up for 51 in 26.4 overs. Young Stars had made 365/8 declared in their first innings.
In another clash, left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem (5-51) led the way for Nelson as they beat AG's Office by an innings and 47 runs. Batting first, Nelson declared their innings at 387/6 and then restricted their opponents to 162 in their first innings and 178 in the subsequent outing. Nadeem bagged match-haul of 9-99.
Dhruv Shorey (202 n.o., 23x4, 1x6) shone with a double hundred on his debut for TI Cycles as they drew their match against CromBest while Yo Mahesh's unbeaten 102 was the highlight in Grand Slam's drawn encounter against Globe Trotters.
