Ombudsman quashes petition on her last day
MCA’s Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer Vijaya Tahilaramani has quashed the petition filed by six Apex Council members against three Apex Council members — Shahalam Shaikh, Amit Dani and Samantha Lobatto — on technical grounds. Thursday was her last day in office.
“Under these circumstances, the Reference as just forwarded by the president (Vijay Patil) against all the three members of the Apex Council on the letter of six members of the Apex Council invoking provision under Rule 39(2)(c) without there being any decision of concurrence by majority in the Apex Council is not maintainable, and is answered accordingly.,” Tahilramani mentioned .
