KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj, who were last seen in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy where India drew the series 2-2 against England, will be back in action later this month when they join the India A squad for the second multi-day match against Australia A in Lucknow. The Senior Men’s Selection Committee has confirmed that both players will link up with the team from September 23, replacing two members from the original squad. Rahul arrives after a stellar Test series in England, where he amassed 532 runs at an average of 53.20. His consistency made him India’s second highest run-scorer in the five-match series, only behind Shubman Gill.

His fiery spells at The Oval were central to India’s dramatic victory in the final Test, helping India square the series in unforgettable fashion. For the India A setup, Siraj’s presence brings world-class pace and intensity that will lift the entire group.
