Bangladesh vs South Africa 2nd Test LIVE SCORE: Proteas lead series 1-0

All set. The players are out in the middle. David Bedingham and Tony de Zorzi to resume their innings.

Hello and welcome to the action of Day 2 between Bangladesh and South Africa. It was a run feast on Day 1 as the Proteas after winning the toss posted a massive total thanks to the double century partnership between Stubbs and De Zorzi. The latter was main stay right from the start. He got used to the pitch and later comfortably scored a brilliant century. Still unbeaten, he was well supported by Stubbs alongside who scored a century as well. Bangladesh on the other hand had to toil hard and are expected to ball all day again as South Africa have 8 wickets in hand. The pitch has started to open up and we could see the spinners get more purchase. Can Bangladesh create pressure in the first session? Let’s find out. Stay tuned.

For the Bangladesh bowlers, it was hard work, there was not a lot of assistance from the surface as well but the bowling wasn't at its best too. There were far too many boundary balls and the hosts just couldn't build pressure as they let South Africa score freely. They'll need wickets in heaps on Day 2 or it will be difficult for them to get back into the game. Will we see the hosts fight back? We will find out. Join us on Day 2 for the coverage. STUMPS IT IS THEN! A cracking day for South Africa! They are in a fine position in this game. All thanks to two men, Tony de Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs. After a decent opening stand, Mariam fell but then came the marathon partnership. The two added over 200 and both scored tons. Stubbs fell shortly after getting to his ton but Tony is closing in on a 150. David Bedingham has began solidly and he'll be looking to cash in on this surface. South Africa are on course for a big first innings score and that's what they'll be wanting to do. 

The light meter is out and the umpires now have decided the light is not good enough to continue. The players make their way off the field! Also, that should be the end of Day 1. Still not confirmed but don't see the players coming out again.
