Mentions, they focused on getting a solid start and they made sure to do that. Adds that Shaw did make it look easy with the blade. Says, the wicket was slow, the slower balls were gripping, but he is glad he worked through it really well.

Delhi didn't start well with the ball and it was their premier pacer Anrich Nortje who was taken to the cleaners by his fellow South African. Quinton de Kock. The spin duo of Lalit Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav kept things tight in the middle overs and both of them got into the wickets column. Apart from Nortje, every other bowler had their moments in the game and Delhi's bowlers executed their wide yorkers to perfection in the last 5 overs. However, in the end, they would feel that they were certainly 10-15 runs short with the bat.
Lucknow got off to a great start and the opening stand between KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock put pressure on the Delhi bowlers upfront. It was Quinton de Kock who was the aggressor, while the skipper played the second fiddle. Once Rahul perished, Lucknow lost a bit of momentum and they lost wickets at regular intervals. Apart from QDK, every other batter struggled to time the ball cleanly but then came the pocket-sized dynamo, Ayush Badoni who ensured that are no more hiccups and took his side over the line.

Credit to Delhi's bowlers for fighting till the very end, in spite of dew playing a major part in the second innings.
