LSG vs SRH Highlights, IPL 2025: Abhishek Sharma shines as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets

Right then, 206 is certainly a gettable total on this wicket, but with no Travis Head and a batting lineup that hasn't consistently fired throughout the season, SRH's task won't be an easy one. LSG will target early wickets, as once you get set, you can simply go berserk on this deck. Stick around as the crucial run chase is up next.

SRH's debutant, Harsh Dubey, is down for a quick chat. He says that he thought he could have done better, but they have done a good job of restricting the opposition under 220. Shares that it's a part and parcel of the game, as sometimes those catches stick and sometimes it doesn't. He adds that he was focusing on his bowling and on his four overs. Mentions that it depends on the toss but he considers himself a batting all-rounder. Shares his plan about the wicket he took, as he says that he tried to bowl slower and got some turn as well. Adds that the bowl did stick on the wicket and he just wanted to bowl away from Marsh's arc. Concludes that his strength has been to turn the ball and he will try to bowl better in terms of lines and lengths in the upcoming games.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will be a tad disappointed in the end with the score they have managed to keep LSG to. Debutant Harsh Dubey was given the tough task of opening the bowling alongside the skipper but went for a few too many boundaries. The first half of the innings was underwhelming for the bowling side but Dubey came back in to break that opening stand. This allowed someone like Eshan Malinga to use his variations and he ended up bowling a brilliant spell. However, that final over cost SRH quite a lot and even though 3 wickets fell, Nitish Kumar Reddy went for 20 runs, swaying the momentum away from his side.

Lucknow Super Giants needed a big showing from their openers on a big occasion and that is exactly what was provided by Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram. Marsh was the aggressor, but soon enough, Markram was playing a blinder at the other end. Marsh got to a half century and got out as the opening stand was broken on 115 runs. Then came a bit of a quiet phase as Markram notched up his fifty but wasn't able to find the boundaries. Nicholas Pooran came back to form though, with a quickfire 45 off 26 balls before a couple of solid hits from the tailenders took them over the 200-run mark.

Lucknow Super Giants do breach the 200-run mark as 20 runs come off the entertaining final over and LSG will have the momentum going into the interval. Up until the last couple of overs, it seemed like Sunrisers Hyderabad had done enough to restrict LSG for a slightly below-par score but that wasn't the case in the end.

Akash Deep stands in the crease, clears the front leg and sends it sailing over long on for a huge six. 20 off the final over and Lucknow Super Giants post 205/7 on the board.

Nitish Kumar Reddy to Abdul Samad, OUT! BOWLED'EM! CHOPPED ON! Nitish bowls it fullish and keeps the line of attack around off, Samad shuffles across the stumps and attempts to sail it downtown. But, ends up getting a thick inside edge, and the ball first deflects on the pads and then rattles into the stumps. Samad departs, and he might feel that he didn't provide that finishing touch.

Nitish Kumar Reddy to Shardul Thakur, OUT! RUN OUT! Shardul Thakur departs now, in order to put Samad on strike. Another slower delivery from Nitish, outside the tramline on a fullish length. Shardul is way too early to heave the ball across the line and the ball goes rolling behind to the keeper. Ishan Kishan collects the ball as the batters decide to sneak in a run. Kishan, this time, misses to score the direct hit at the batter's end, and the ball rolls straight to the bowler, Nitish Kumar Reddy, who stands almost halfway on the pitch. With Shardul pushing harder for the run and get to the other end, Nitish Kumar Reddy seizes the opportunity as he runs towards the wickets at the bowler's end and underarms the throw, and Shardul continues to run, but towards the dugout.

Abdul Samad swings with all his might, only to connect thin air. The ball dribbles behind to the keeper and Nicholas Pooran calls for a bye and rushes through to the other end. Ishan Kishan however, has enough time to aim at the sticks and hits bull's eye at the striker's end, with Nicky P out by a considerable margin.

Nitish Kumar Reddy to Nicholas Pooran, Stays around the stumps and angles it on the leg stump, on a fullish length. Nicholas Pooran clears the front leg and lofts it over mid-wicket. The fielder from deep mid-wicket runs across to the left and collects it on the bounce. In the middle, the batters settle only for a single as Nicholas Pooran collides with the bowler, Nitish Kumar Reddy while completing the first run. He slaps the earth with frustration as there was a second easily.

Harshal slips in a high full toss, above the waist height, fairly outside off, Nicholas Pooran gets on his toes and reaches for it. Eshan Malinga to Ayush Badoni, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! CAUGHT! Nitish Kumar Reddy takes a fine, fine catch in the deep and sends Ayush Badoni packing for a low score. Eshan Malinga smartly bowls it away from Badoni's reach, as this is on a fuller length, angling wide outside the tramline. Badoni crouches a bit and reaches the ball by extending his arms. Does not manage to generate enough power and sails it just over cover-point. Nitish Kumar Reddy from the deep, runs forward and takes a good dipping catch.
