Virat Kohli scores 35th century, Twitterverse bows down to 'Greatest Ever ODI player'

NEW DELHI: Friday was a special day for Virat Kohli. He led India to an eight-wicket win in the sixth and final ODI of the six-match series against South Africa by scoring yet another century. It was Kohli's 200th ODI inning and he celebrated it with 35th century – his third of the series, his 13th as captain and 19th in successful chases. He finished the series with 558 runs at a mind-boggling average of 186 from six innings. He thus became the first ever batsman to score 500 runs in a bilateral ODI series. Phew!

He had already become the first ever Indian captain to lead India to a bilateral ODI series win on South African soil after the fifth ODI.
