IND vs PAK Highlights, U19 Asia Cup Final 2025: Pakistan beat India by 191 runs to clinch title

IND vs PAK Live Score, U19 Asia Cup Final 2025: India and Pakistan will renew their storied rivalry in the Under-19 Asia Cup final on Sunday, with India chasing a record-extending 12th title at the ICC Academy in Dubai. India have been the standout side of the tournament, topping Group A with a perfect record under the leadership of Ayush Mhatre.

Pakistan qualified for the final after finishing second in the group, their campaign marked by inconsistency with the bat. Their only group-stage defeat came against India, who handed them a 90-run loss last Sunday. Despite that setback, Pakistan showed resilience in the semi-finals, knocking out defending champions Bangladesh to set up a final rematch.

India’s run to the final has been built on dominant batting performances. The side has crossed the 400-run mark twice, underlining the depth and confidence of their top and middle order. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 171 against UAE laid the foundation early in the tournament, while Abhigyan Kundu raised the bar further with an unbeaten 209 off 125 balls against Malaysia, a historic innings that made him the first Indian to score a Youth ODI double hundred.

The middle order has also stepped up when required. Aaron George has been a model of consistency with three consecutive half-centuries, and Vihaan Malhotra’s unbeaten 61 against Sri Lanka helped India cruise through the semi-finals. All-rounder Kanishk Chouhan has added crucial balance, contributing late runs and picking up six wickets, including a match-defining 3/33 against Pakistan in the group stage.

With the ball, India have been led by pacer Deepesh Devendran, who is joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 11 wickets. His five-wicket haul against Malaysia and a three-over burst against Pakistan highlighted his impact.

Pakistan will lean heavily on Sameer Minhas, who has shown his class with an unbeaten 177 against Malaysia and a half-century versus Bangladesh. Their bowling attack is pace-driven, led by Abdul Subhan, with support from Mohammad Sayyam and Ali Raza, while spin options include Niqab Shafiq and Ahmed Hussain.

The final, starting at 10.30 am IST, promises intensity, discipline and high stakes, with both teams expected to follow the no-handshake policy as the tournament reaches its conclusion.

IND vs PAK Live Score: India strike back late but Pakistan finish strong on 347 for 8
Just when Pakistan looked set to push beyond reach, India’s bowlers mounted a spirited late comeback to restrict the damage. The breakthrough came in the 38th over when Khilan Patel dismissed Ahmed Hussain, breaking the crucial partnership that had powered Pakistan’s surge.

Wickets then began to fall in quick succession. Deepesh Devendran delivered the biggest moment for India by removing Sameer Minhas for 172 in the 43rd over, ending a marathon innings that had threatened to take the game away entirely. Deepesh went on to finish with three wickets, leading India’s late resistance.

Khilan Patel was impressive through the middle overs, returning figures of 2 for 44, while Henil Patel also picked up two wickets. India’s bowlers showed discipline at the death, preventing Pakistan from accelerating further despite cameos from Niqab Shafiq and Mohammad Sayyam.

Pakistan eventually closed on 347 for 8 after 50 overs, a total built around Minhas’ brilliance but tempered by India’s fightback in the final phase. While Pakistan will feel confident with runs on the board, India’s late burst has ensured the contest remains alive heading into the chase.

IND vs PAK U19 Live Score: Sameer Minhas’ masterclass powers Pakistan past 340
Pakistan Under-19 rode on a sensational century from Sameer Minhas to surge to a commanding position after being put in to bat. Minhas produced a knock of rare authority, smashing 172 off just 113 balls to anchor Pakistan’s innings and push them well beyond the 300 mark.

The innings began at a brisk pace, with Hamza Zahoor providing early intent before falling for 18 off 14 balls, caught behind off Henil Patel. From there, Minhas took complete control. He first stitched together a steady partnership with Usman Khan, who made 35 from 45 deliveries, allowing Pakistan to recover from the early loss.

Minhas then found the perfect ally in Ahmed Hussain. The pair added a massive 137 runs, batting through the middle overs with patience and purpose. While Hussain played the supporting role with a composed 56 off 72 balls, Minhas was relentless, mixing timing with power as he pierced the field and cleared the ropes with ease.

By the time Pakistan crossed 250 in the 38th over, Minhas was in full flow, having struck 17 fours and 9 sixes. His innings dictated the tempo entirely, placing India under sustained pressure and setting Pakistan up for a potentially mammoth total.

Led by Ayush Mhatre, India have enjoyed a dominant run through the tournament, winning all their group matches before defeating Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the semi-finals.

Pakistan finished second in Group A, with their only defeat coming against India, a heavy 90-run loss earlier in the competition. They reached the final by overcoming defending champions Bangladesh in the semi-finals.

India’s journey has been powered by strong performances across departments, particularly with the bat. The team has posted two totals in excess of 400 during the tournament. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also played a key role earlier, scoring 171 against UAE.

India’s middle order has provided stability, with Aaron George scoring three successive half-centuries and Vihaan Malhotra contributing an unbeaten 61 in the semi-final. All-rounder Kanishk Chouhan has added balance with both bat and ball.

In bowling, Deepesh Devendran has led the attack and is joint-highest wicket-taker with 11 wickets, alongside Pakistan’s Abdul Subhan.
