IND U19 vs SA U19 Highlights: India U19 crush South Africa by 233 runs; Vaibhav Sooryavanshi named Player of the Match and Series

India vs South Africa U19 3rd ODI Highlights: India U-19 sealed a resounding 3-0 series sweep against South Africa U-19, hammering the visitors by 233 runs in the final youth ODI at Willowmoore Park on Wednesday. Leading from the front, captain Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again displayed his breathtaking power-hitting, scoring 127 off just 74 balls. The 14-year-old smashed 10 sixes and nine fours, building on his 24-ball 68 in the previous game and delivering yet another innings full of fearless strokes.

Opening partner Aaron George complemented him superbly, compiling a polished 118 off 106 balls. The pair put on a 227-run stand, propelling India to a massive 393 for 7 in their allotted 50 overs. South Africa’s bowling attack, led by Ntando Soni (3/61) and Jason Rowles (2/59), struggled to contain the flurry of boundaries.

In reply, South Africa’s chase faltered immediately, with Kishan Singh taking early wickets to reduce them to 15 for 3 in the fourth over. Daniel Bosman (40) and Paul James (41) offered temporary resistance, but the rest of the lineup collapsed under consistent Indian pressure, eventually being bowled out for 160 in 35 overs. Singh, who had also starred with four wickets in the second ODI, emerged as the standout bowler once again.

Sooryavanshi’s prolific series has further cemented his reputation as one of India’s most exciting young talents. In 18 Youth ODIs, he has scored 973 runs at an average of 54.05 with a strike rate of 164.08, including three centuries and four fifties.

Earlier in the series, India had won the first match by 25 runs via the DLS method and the second by eight wickets, showing consistent dominance. The third game’s emphatic victory was a fitting conclusion, highlighting India U-19’s superior batting, disciplined bowling, and overall dominance in the series.
