England vs Bangladesh, ICC World Cup 2023 Highlights: England crush Bangladesh by 137 runs to register first win of the tournament

Bangladesh will be happy with the late comeback but the damage was done earlier by England. Bangladesh opted to bowl first and started well. The ball was swinging but failed to get any wickets in the first 10 overs. Bangladesh then introduced their spin duo in the middle phase but England counter-attacked and didn't allow to settle them. However, Bangladesh will be happy with how they fought back. There is still a lot in this pitch but Bangladeshi batters are in good touch. They need someone to play a big innings. Can Bangladesh chase it down or it will be two losses in two for the defending champions?

Jos Buttler did mention a lot after their first game that they were short of runs but England though have got the job done this time around as 364 does look like a winning total on this pitch. Excellent stuff from the defending champions. The top three were fabulous first of all. The openers got them off to a flier, Jonny Bairstow fell after his fifty but Malan and Root quickly put on a big stand of 151-runs to get England to a big total. However, there were slight hiccups as England started to fall apart in the fag end but somehow got crucial runs in the end to get over 360. Still, at one point 400 was looking gettable but England will be happy with this score.
