Ackerman reports from a very humid Mirpur, noting that while the heat is intense, the pitch itself looks surprisingly well-prepared and different from the typically dry, grass-masked surfaces seen here in the past. He observes that the deck offers decent pace and reliable bounce, suggesting it will be an excellent surface for batting, where the ball should come onto the bat nicely. However, he warns that the ground's dimensions will play a major role, with a short 58-metre boundary at one side.
