'Mojtaba is Increasingly...': Rubio Details Iran Supreme Leader's Movements; IRGC Hold Over US Talks

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has revealed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is alive and showing signs of taking a more active role in the country’s affairs. Speaking before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Rubio said there are indications that Mojtaba Khamenei is increasingly engaged as Iran navigates growing regional tensions and stalled negotiations with Washington. His remarks come months after the U.S.-Israel strike that reportedly injured Mojtaba and killed his father, Ali Khamenei. Rubio also expressed hope for a diplomatic breakthrough but stressed that Iran must significantly curb its nuclear program before sanctions relief can be considered.
