India vs Australia 1st T20 Highlights: Wade, Green help Australia beat India by 4 wickets

Australia produced a fine batting show to beat hosts India by four wickets in the first T20I on Tuesday. Invited to bat, Hardik Pandya (71 not out) and KL Rahul (55) scored scintillating half-centuries to help India post 208 for six. In reply, opener Cameron Green put India on the back foot with his 30-ball 61 before Matthew Wade (45 not out off 21) took the visitors over the line with four balls to spare. With the win, Australia took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

It will be a very brave man to write Virat Kohli off. At any stage, he has shown for 15 years now that he is one of the greatest players of all time. Particularly in T20 cricket, he's someone who has developed and grown his game over such a long period that you always plan and prepare the best when you're coming up against him. He is super and has 71 international centuries. That's just ridiculous.

Time for Team India to settle on best combo as dress rehearsal for World Cup begins with Australia T20Is...One positive to emerge from India's forgettable Asia Cup campaign was the century scored by Virat Kohli after a gap of three long years. Playing after a six-week break, Kohli scored a fiery 71st international century, although in an inconsequential affair against Afghanistan. That Kohli special (122 not out off 61 balls) was made possible, according to the bats man himself, by sticking to a "tried and tested" template in which six-hitting wasn't a priority. Kohli said as much in a chat with skipper Rohit Sharma.

Focus on Tim David!
Another player who has attracted a lot of attention is power-hitter Tim David who is set to make his Australia debut after playing international cricket for Singapore. David has made a name for himself with his performances in the T20 leagues around the world and he would be looking to replicate that at the highest level.

The focus will be on skipper Aaron Finch, who recently retired from ODIs after a prolonged lean patch. He will be aiming for a bagful for runs ahead of the World Cup at home.

Australia have come to India without a few of their main players including David Warner (rested). Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Marsh, who are nursing minor injuries ahead of the World Cup, have also stayed back in Australia.
