It was a hard outing for the bowlers as they were tonked into each and every corner of the ground by the Aussies today. Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers as he managed to scalp 4 wickets giving away just 60 runs in an innings that saw almost 400 from the Aussies. Kagiso Rabada managed to pick a couple while Marco Jansen and Andile Phehlukwayo took a wicket each. The target looks like a mountain but can we get a repeat of that famous run chase from the Proteas years back from today? Let's find out when the Proteas come out to chase in some time.

An exceptional batting performance from the Aussies after being asked to bat first sees them post a gigantic total of 392 on the board. The side started off in a scintillating manner with both the openers taking the attack on the Proteas bowlers. David Warner and Travis Head managed to score 109 for the first wicket inside 12 overs. After the dismissal of Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh in the same over it was then onto David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne as they managed to put together a partnership of 151 in a striking manner. David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne both went on to score a century each with scores of 106 and 124 respectively. Travis Head and Josh Inglis played good cameos of 64 and 50 respectively as well. The Aussies were well on track to post in excess of 400 but it was a brilliant spell of bowling night at the death overs that held back things a bit.
