Mahmudullah joined forces with his skipper Mehidy Hasan and the two have weathered the early storm by constructing a 66-run stand for the 5th wicket. The boundaries, however, haven't come regularly but these two have milked singles and doubles to keep the scorecard ticking along. With spin in tandem, Afghanistan did manage to prevent runs from flowing freely but they also know, to dominate in cricket, you need to pick wickets at regular intervals. A wicket or two at this point will catapult Afghanistan back into the contest.
