Bajrang Punia was a class apart while defending his title before Sakshi Malik produced a sensational gold medal winning effort as Indian wrestlers grabbed 6 medals, including 3 gold at the Commonwealth Games on Friday. Shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth stormed into the quarterfinals in their respective singles events. Sprinter Hima Das failed to qualify for women's 200m final. The Indian women's hockey team also suffered a 0-3 loss against Australia in shootout in semifinal.
