Amavasya is one of the most powerful day when people take holy bath in ganga river and other sacred rivers. The day is dedicated to perform pitru puja, pitru tarpan and shradh rituals. On this day, devotees worship ancestors. In the Ganga River, people take holy baths. The sign of Pisces is where the sun is currently transiting. This is one of the most potent days for ancestral benefits, spiritual elevation, and karmic clearing. 1. One must take bath in any sacred river.
