Tragic Love Story: Two Minors in Gumla Die by Suicide After Quarrel

Gumla: Two minors, a girl and a boy, who were allegedly in a relationship, died by suicide on Friday by hanging themselves at their respective homes in Gumla, police said.The girl was enrolled in Class 8 and the boy was in Class 10 in the same school. Both were residents of adjacent hamlets, police added.A police officer said, “Both minors had been in love for over a year. The girl went to the boy’s house on Thursday and returned on Friday. At 3 pm, both seemed to have quarrelled on phones. The girl hanged herself in her house. When the boy learnt about it, he, too, ended his life.”The bodies were handed over to the respective family members on Saturday after post-mortem examinations, police said.
