Patna: CM and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar on Friday exhorted the party workers to visit every house in each village and town, and inform people about the development works executed by the NDA govt.While interacting with the JD(U) workers during a programme held at Sikaria village under Paliganj block of Patna district, Nitish said, “Bihar is developing rapidly, and more work will be done in the future. All party workers should visit houses and inform people about Bihar’s development story.”“Special focus on education and health sectors were given from the beginning. Extensive road and bridge construction has been carried out. Under the ‘Saat Nischay’ initiative, electricity, tap water, and toilets have been provided to every household, and roads have been connected to every settlement. In 2020, it was decided to provide 10 lakh govt jobs and 10 lakh employment opportunities to the youth. So far, 10 lakh jobs and 39 lakh employment opportunities have been provided. More than 50 lakh jobs and employment opportunities will be provided before the elections. It has been decided to provide employment to one crore youth in the next five years,” Nitish told the workers.“In Patna district, several significant development projects have been undertaken. National-level institutions and universities like IIT and NIT have been established in Patna district. Medical colleges and hospitals have been developed. The PMCH is being developed into a modern world-class facility with a capacity of 5,462 beds. The IGIMS is being expanded to 3,000 beds, and the NMCH to 2,500 beds,” the JD(U) chief said.
Nitish also pointed out that significant work has been done for the Muslim community as well. The CM unveiled the statue of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Sikaria village. He also inaugurated a library in the village.Earlier, at Lala Bhadsara village of Dulhin Bazar block, Nitish unveiled the foundation plaque of the Bharat Ratna Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Library.
