BenQ launches W8000 projector with interchangeable lens at Rs 2.75 lakh
NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics brand BenQ has launched its W8000 professional home cinema projector at Rs 2,75,000. This is BenQ’s first home theatre projector which comes with interchangeable lens options and is built for custom installation.
There are 5 optional lenses, offering a range of 1.5 meter to more than 11 meter between the screen and the mounted location. It comes with a contrast ratio of 10000:1 and claims to provide true blacks.
The W8000 is targeted at consumers looking for a Full HD 3D projector. It offers 6X Speed RGBRGB colour wheel and is tuned for REC 709 HDTV Standard. Other technologies include Digital Colour Transient Improvement and Digital Luminance Transient Improvement. Both these technologies heighten colour vibrancy in drastic colour transitions without noise.
The installer can tweak the advanced controls to independently control all six primary colours making it an ISF-friendly projector.

Few months back, the company had launched two living room projectors-- W2000 and W3000. These projectors feature a 1080p optimized optical system for full high-definition picture clarity.
With over 22% market share in the Indian projector market, Benq topped the market in 2015, according to market research and consulting firm Futuresource Consulting. In 2014, BenQ's market share was 19%. BenQ sold over 50,000 projectors in 2015.
