She started alienating herself from family gatherings

"We were a great couple till two years of our marriage. I have a job that involves frequent travels. Lately, whenever there was a family gathering, she avoided accompanying me. She started avoiding any moments when we had to make a public appearance together. There was something unusual about her behaviour. Even when I confronted her, she did not share anything. When my son spilled the beans!

"I have a demanding job and hardly get time for my family. My wife never complained and always tried to cushion me with support. One day she was busy attending a family function and asked me to take our son to the office. As we reached home, my son was very excited to tell his mother about his day in office. He also told her innocently that he met an 'aunty' in my office and how we went to drop her at her place after office. My wife grew suspicious and asked me who she was because there was no female employee in our office. It was then I realised that I could no longer hide my extramarital affair from her. Our marriage wasn't working anymore and we better admit it," said Anand Sharma.

When my bachelor friends spent too much time telling me about the complications of marriage

"I was the first one to get married in my group of friends. Initially, they all used to come to our house to party and there were no issues at all. Then things started changing. My friends thought that my wife was an obstacle for our parties and boy trips. My wife was fine with all-boys trips once in a year but every time I cancelled the trip with friends to go with my wife, they teased me to an extent that I started feeling awkward. Fights between us increased and new issues cropped up each day. Things were slipping off our hands and it became suffocating after some time," shared Ankur Goel.

"We have been working for reputed multinational companies and are able to balance work and life for three years. But when she deliberately started picking up work for weekends at a stretch, I probably knew, somewhere deep inside, that it is a sign of things going wrong in our marriage. But after a few months, things worsened and she finally admitted to having an affair with her colleague," shared Sameer Ahuja

Her phone bill statement said it all

"Everything seemed fine in our marriage of 10 years. One day my wife had some issues with her cellular service company and asked me to get it fixed. In the conversation with the service guy from the company, he shared my wife’s call records for reference. Although I did not give it much importance, I found it strange that there was a number that was cropping up too frequently. Sometimes the calls accounted to hours as well. I dialled the number as a mock banking personnel to check whose number it was and found that it was the number of my wife's ex-boyfriend. That was the moment when all hell broke loose," confessed Ankit Gupta.
