Recently uncovered recordings of Michael Jackson have given a sneak peek into the popstar's 'intimate' thoughts on children. The unheard recordings will be revealed in a new and upcoming TV docuseries, 'The Trial'.
The superstar who has long been rumoured to have an enigmatic infatuation with kids, can be heard saying that if he could not be close to children he would take his own life. He can also be heard claiming that kids fall in love with his personality and that gets him into trouble at times.
“If you told me right now . . . Michael, you could never see another child…I would kill myself,” he says. “Kids end up falling in love with my personality. Sometimes it gets me into trouble,” he also eerily confessed, as per NY Post.
Michael Jackson's 'love' for kids
The new recordings also reveal a fresh angle on Jackson's relationship with cancer survivor child friend Gavin Arvizo who later accused him of sexual abuse in a 2005 criminal trial. As per the outlet, unseen footage also shows him going on picnics with Arvizo alone in Neverland.
The singer who admitted sharing his bed with kids had been later cleared on 14 charges, which included four counts of molesting a child, four counts of getting the child drunk so he could molest him, supplying alcohol to the boy and of secretly conspiring to hold the boy and his family captive at his California ranch.
“There is something extremely unusual and eerie about Michael Jackson’s infatuation with children – especially those who are not his own,” said an insider.
They added that the King of Pop's description of children added another angle to his molestation and raised questions about his mental health, mindset and intentions.
“He sees nothing wrong in bringing kids to his home and his bed, without parental supervision, justifying those actions by saying he is just a friend looking to help. He even went further — expressing how most of the spoiled children fell in love with him. These are very uneasy phrases and language to hear from a single man in his 40s,” they added.
King of Pop and his controversial bond with children
Michael Jackson had been married to his second wife, Debbie Rowe from 1996 to 2000. The couple had two kids together, Prince and Paris Jackson. He had another son, Prince via an unnamed surrogate mother.
Previously, in a 2019 series called 'Leaving Neverland' two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck accused Jackson of having sexually abused them for years from when they were 7 and 10, respectively. Safechuck met the popstar on the set of a Pepsi ad and what began with befriending his family ended with him asking the boy to sleep with him in his bed. The entertainer's estate denied all the allegations.
Even his estranged sister La Toya alleged in 1993, that the allegations against him were true. She also claimed that she and her siblings had been sexually abused by their parents.
While the singer may have been acquitted of his charges and rumours, the speculation against his enigmatic love for children still stands.
