Are they harmful?

According to experts, these spots are vulnerable to infection and sickness. In case the spots turn darker, it is called lenticels breakdown that makes the apple look unattractive but doesn’t hurt the fruit inside.

Blister spot

These spots are often found near the calyx end of the fruit. They appear as raised brown blisters with a purplish black margin on the fruit surface.
