This is a hydrating bowl full of nutrition, made with oranges, watermelon, and strawberries, topped with a sprinkle of chaat masala. It is an Iftar staple in many homes.

To make these discs of nutrition, chop and blanch veggies like carrot, potato, beans, corn, and capsicum, then season them with salt, pepper, and spices. Mash and shape them into small discs, coat them with breadcrumbs, and then deep fry to perfection. They pair well with mint coriander chutney.

It is a rich, slow-cooked savoury porridge made with meat, wheat, lentils, and spices. It is simmered for hours until it becomes smooth, thick, and deeply flavourful. It is a classic Iftar dish enjoyed in many parts of the country.

It is a true chicken delight, where boneless tender chicken chunks are first marinated in curd, cream, and spices, and then charred to perfection with a butter glaze in a tandoor. One can also roast them in a griller or an air fryer.

This is a sweet and tangy delight, where fermented urad deep fried dumplings are first soaked in salted warm water and then dunked into sweetened curd. It is topped with cumin powder, salt, chaat masala, black salt, black pepper, tamarind chutney, green chutney, and pomegranate.

It is a deep-fried triangular treat, where mince meat cooked and seasoned with onion, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and amchur powder is filled in refined flour sheet, sealed and deep fried to perfection. If you want to avoid deep-frying, you can bake or air fry it as well.

It is a classic chilled Ramadan drink, where milk, watermelon chunks, sugar, and rooh afza or rose syrup are combined, stirred, and topped with ice cubes.

For this dessert, soak broken rice, boil milk and add the rice to it. Simmer on low flame for 30 minutes, then add sugar, kesar, and nuts. Serve it hot or cold and enjoy.
