Easy Chilla Recipe
Moong Dal Chilla for breakfast is a healthy and high-protein dish that can be easily made at home. Moong dal is a rich source of protein and fiber and in the form of chilla makes for a filling breakfast dish that is best enjoyed with green chutney. Here is the simplest recipe that is also good for school and office tiffin.
Ingredients
1 cup yellow moong dal, water, 1 green chilli, 1 tsp grated ginger, ½ tsp cumin seeds, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, 1 tbsp chopped coriander, and oil for cooking
Step 1
Soak moong dal overnight and next morning wash it well.
Step 2
Add to a blender along with green chilli, ginger, and cumin seeds into a smooth batter of pouring consistency. Add water as required.
Step 3
Add salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
Step 4
Heat a non-stick pan, grease it well and pour the batter to form a chiila. Cook it with oil on both sides.
Step 5
Once done, serve hot with green chutney. Enjoy!
