Alessandra Ambrosio launches fashion line

The lingerie supermodel is trying her hand at fashion designing Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosia is taking the beaten path in fashion. The 32-year-old Victoria’s Secret model is trying her hand at fashion designing by collaborating with the American label Planet Blue. In a recent statement, she was quoted as saying, “I cannot think of a better place to launch the apparel for my brand… I have been a fan of Planet Blue since I moved to California, and the brand's authentic bohemian beach vibe is the perfect backdrop for my very first collection.”Her collection, which is titled “Ale By Alessandra” features, among other styles, tees, beachy dresses and tunics, and all the pieces range between $60-260.Till now, Ambrosio has modeled for brands like Next, Armani Exchange, Christian Dior, and Ralph Lauren. She also came 6th on the Forbes top-earning models list in 2012 and was estimated to have pocketed $6.6 million that year. Ambrosio is also an ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
