'Border 2' is all set take over the box office this extended Republic Day weekend. The film is set to hit theatres today, January 23, has seemingly set itself up for a good start at the box office. The film that crossed the Rs 10 crore mark on Wednesday, has sees good improvement in ticket sales. As per the report, the film has already scored an impressive Rs 12.45 crore in advance ticket sales.

'Border 2' advance box office collections

The patriotic film, that features an ensemble cast, has already grossed an estimated Rs 12.39 crore in advance ticket sales for 2D formats. Also releasing in premium formats, 'Border 2' has also grossed an estimated Rs 6,650 from DOLBY CINE, Rs 4.90 lakh from 4DX format shows and Rs 28,604 from IMAX 2D shows. As per early reports, the film has sold a total of 4.07 lakh in advance ticket sales. The film has been able to achieve this box offic ecollection from a total of 16,221 shows.

Meanwhile, the film's box office numbers look much higher with the film scoring an estimated Rs 17.46 crore taking into account block seats.

Sunny Deol will try to enter his name into the box office record books for a second time, by landing a spot on the list of the highest first-day collections of all time. However, it remains to be seen if 'Border 2' has what it takes to push the film past the actor's 2023 historic opening with 'Gadar 2'.
